Carrot is rich in carotenoids, mainly β-carotene (precursor of vitamin A), which gives it its particular colour and provides an anti-wrinkle effect.
It also acts as a free radical scavenger providing protection to the skin and hair.
In suncare it enhances tanning and provides photo-protection.
