Chamomile is rich in flavonoids, providing it with anti-inflammatory, vasodilator, sun protection and free radical scavenging properties. The anti-inflammatory properties of Chamomile Eco were determined by measuring its ability to inhibit the cyclooxygenase (an enzyme present in most tissues). Chamomile Eco was found to inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX) in human keratinocyte cultures proving its efficacy against inflammation and irritation.
