Progeline™ is a 3 Amino acids Biomimetic Peptide of Elafin, an enzyme inhibitor that regulates the integrity of the Extracellular Matrix. Progeline™ decreases Progerin an ageing biomarker of skin cellular senescence. By acting directly on a senescence marker, Progeline™ clinically improves the appearance of signs associated with skin maturation: sagging, slackness and wrinkles.
A new study has shown that Progeline™ stimulates Sirtuin-1 and Sirtuin-3 production which are responsible for cell longevity and lifespan. In addition, it can reverse the signs of ageing by increasing Pro-collagen I synthesis. In addition, it offers 100% Elastase inhibition; this is important as we cannot stimulate Elastin.
