Native to China, the Tremella fuciformis is also known as the “snow mushroom” is considered a gift from nature. With its translucent colour and gelatinous texture, it is traditionally used in Chinese medicine to refine women’s beauty. HYDRA-T is 100% natural and Cosmos compliant.
It contains a low molecular weight natural hyaluronic acid, which can penetrate deeply into the skin. As we all know, Hyaluronic acid is a compound naturally present in the dermis that acts as a molecular sponge, where it is able to fix up to 1000 times its weight in water. Its function is to ensure the hydration of the skin, whilst helping form the connective tissue of the dermis to support collagen and elastin fibres.
It plays a fundamental role in the density and tone of the skin, but over the years, the production of hyaluronic acid by the body tends to decrease (a decline of around 6% per decade), which causes the appearance of the first wrinkles and fine lines on the surface of the epidermis. It is therefore advantageous to incorporate active ingredients rich in hyaluronic acid, such as Tremella fuciformis to the dermis as part of an anti-ageing strategy.
HYDRA-T is rich in polysaccharides and protects the skin whilst improving the impermeability of the skin barrier. Easy to formulate and does not induce a tightening effect on the skin. Ideal for use in anti-ageing cream, body care, decorative cosmetics and hair care.
