PEARL ALGA™ is an enriched fraction of metabolites and phlorotannins coming from the brown seaweed, Sargassum muticum.
This unique and beautiful alga is composed of millions of micro-pearls. Its originality comes from the production of these specific substances with astrigent, antibacterial and antifungal properties to protect from biofouling. Ageing and photo-ageing weaken collagen that supports pores and keeps them tight resulting in an increase of pore size.
Pore enlargement also induce pollutant penetration and over secretion of sebum leading to acne, irritating effects, pimples and zits. PEARL ALGA™ counteracts these effects by shrinking the size of pores, decreasing the pores numbers, firming up the connect tissue around the pores and refining skin grain. It finally reduces the greasy shiny aspect of the skin.
