BAMBOO EXTRACT D.C. - M.S. is an extract in Propylene Glycol / water from the leaves of "Bambusa arundinacea (Retz.) Willd".
Bamboo leaves contain flavonoids, phenolic acids, lactones, polysaccharides, amino acids, and minerals. The extracts of Bambusa arundinacea have been used in Indian folk medicine to treat various inflammatory conditions.
Besides scavenging free radicals, chelating metal ions and inhibiting oxidase enzymes, the flavonoids of bamboo may increase the availability of endogenous antioxidants and the activity of antioxidant enzymes.
